Order Your Half Table TodayHi Dom, Got the half table on Tuesday afternoon. Looks great and seeing the improvement from Elite video and the advance class, the dice are closer together than ever before. This table will show me a truer bounce and get me ready for the casino’s.
Why Serious Dice Control Starts With the Right Practice Table
Dice control is a physical skill. Your stance, your grip, your dice set and the arc of your throw only transfer to a casino craps table if you have grooved them somewhere that behaves the same way. Practice on a kitchen table and you are training a throw that does not exist anywhere on a casino floor — the height is wrong, the surface is wrong, and there is no back wall to teach you what a legal, controlled landing actually feels like.
That is the entire reason the Golden Touch Craps Half Craps Table exists. It is a regulation-spec practice rig built so that the repetitions you put in at home are the same repetitions you will make when there is money on the layout.
What Makes This Half Craps Table Different
Every detail is chosen to reproduce casino conditions rather than approximate them:
- Regulation height and genuine back-wall pyramids. The pyramid rubber is the single most important surface in dice control practice — it is what makes a throw random for everyone else and repeatable for a trained shooter. Practicing without it teaches you nothing about how your dice will actually react.
- The same full-size craps layout used on the full-size tables, on a 4-foot by 4-foot table that weighs 135 lbs.
- Full-size craps layout. You practice against a real layout, so you are learning your landing zone in relation to the numbers you actually bet.
- A 1.5-inch top exactly where the dice land. In Dom's words: "where dice land from the back wall out 18 inches, the top's thickness is 1.5 inches — the same thickness as a casino craps table, to give you a true casino bounce. The rest of the top is 3/4 inch to cut down the weight so you can fold the legs and store the table easily." That is a deliberate engineering trade: casino-accurate response in the zone that matters, and a table one person can still fold away.
- Sturdy birch plywood construction, crafted by a master carpenter. A practice rig that flexes or shifts under a hard toss trains inconsistency into your throw.
- Folding legs and no assembly required. It arrives ready to use and folds away between sessions, which matters more than it sounds — the easiest rig to set up is the one you will actually practice on.
- Autographed by "The Dominator" and made in the USA.
Half Craps Table or Full Practice Table — Which Do You Need?
The half table gives you the part of a craps table that develops your throw: the shooting position, the landing area, and the back wall. It is the right choice if your goal is repetition on a regulation surface in the space a normal room allows.
What it does not give you is distance. Adding a throwing station puts a padded regulation rail at the delivery end, so the dice travel a true throwing distance before they land — and distance is what exposes the small release faults a short toss hides. Serious students often start here and add the station later; the mechanics transfer directly either way.
Half Craps Table alone
- Full-size layout, regulation pyramids, casino-thickness landing area
- Builds your set, grip and release
- Smallest footprint of the regulation rigs
Half Table + Throwing Station
- Everything on the left, plus a padded regulation rail to deliver from
- Adds true throwing distance — where faults actually show up
- Dom: 98% of a real craps table, at about half the price of one
Prefer a lighter, lower-cost pairing? The throwing and receiving station set covers the same loop on a more compact free-standing table.
How to Practice on Your Half Table
Equipment only helps if the practice is structured. A productive session looks like this:
- Set the same way every time. Pick one dice set and stay with it for the whole session — changing sets constantly hides whether your throw is improving.
- Build your pre-throw routine. Same stance, same grip, same breath, same delivery. The routine is what survives casino pressure and noise.
- Throw in blocks, not marathons. Short, focused sets of throws beat an hour of tired repetition that grooves bad habits.
- Watch the landing, not the result. On-axis dice landing together in the same zone is the skill. Numbers are the by-product.
- Log what you throw. Recorded practice throws are the only honest measure of whether you are influencing the dice — this is exactly what Smart Craps analysis software was built to evaluate.
Pair the rig with regulation casino dice so you are practicing with the same 3/4-inch razor-edge dice you will throw in the casino, and the Golden Touch Gripper if your grip is still inconsistent.
Learn the Technique, Then Groove It
A practice table is where technique gets ingrained — but you have to be practicing the right thing. The Complete Guide to Winning at Craps covers the controlled throw, dice sets, betting strategy and bankroll management, and the Beat Craps by Controlling the Dice DVD set shows the eight physical elements demonstrated at a real casino table. Learn the mechanics there, then put in the repetitions here.
